Okay. Maybe we should reconsider actually having resolutions because we suck at this. We did manage to check off an additional three resolutions from last year's (and 2014's, 2013's, etc.) list. We'll start by posting the resolutions that we continue to fail at checking off our list and then finish by telling you which ones we managed to check off. Perhaps we'll add new ones, but truth be told, we're so terrible at this that we're not really sure there's a point extending a list of things we'll never accomplish. It just seems like a recipe for low self esteem.
2013 Failures:
1. Cover a World Series game in person even if the Mets or Yankees aren't in the playoffs. Somehow, we'll figure it out.
2. Covering the remaining playoff games from the bar. Literally. As in
we'll bring the internet machine to a bar, hack the bar's WiFi (side
note: the password is quite often the bar's phone number), and cover the
games. In addition to the blog post, we'll also post commentary to
Twatter. (@TravelingBBabes). Follow us. Do it.
#1's & 2 are probably the biggest f*ck ups of 2015. One of our teams actually made it to the playoffs AND the World Series and we still didn't blog about it. Mostly because Lisa was really stressed out during the entire ordeal, but also because our Sunday morning conversations went something like this:
"Hey, are we blogging today?"
"Hmmm...let's go eat Chipotle and be fat. Maybe watch a Disney movie."
3. Get TOWSNBN to take a picture with Lisa. This may never happen.
4. Spy a professional player in plain clothes. We stress professional.
You and your beer bully running around a baseball field in dirty
sweatpants that you haven't washed in months doesn't count as a baseball
player.
5. It may not be fiscally possible for us to attend more Yankees and
Mets games, but we will do everything in our power to cover baseball
more actively, whether that means talking to bar patrons/baseball fans
during games or stalking tailgate parties. Yeah. We haven't gone to the bar or met any new people in awhile...
6. Establish a weblog. - Honestly, we still don't know what a weblog is. This should be removed entirely from the list. In fact...for 2016, this resolution is history.
7. Get on the jumbotron together at any stadium. It's probably because we're fat.
8. TBB World Domination. We're like Pinky & The Brain...
2014:
1. Lisa finally watches all of the Star Wars movies. Even the bad ones
staring Natalie Portman (the acting equivalent to a cardboard box). Okay, enough. There's a brand new movie out and this still hasn't been done. This is a no brainer. This literally involves us laying in bed and eating cookies all day so why this hasn't been done is one of life's greatest mysteries. Don't worry though. We're on it. We've scheduled this all day movie marathon for a Saturday in February.
2. Get one professional baseball player to follow us (whether it be on the blog, Facebook, Twatter, Instagram, or Google+). Why don't they like us? You'd think that by this time, Tim Lincecum would at least follow us.
4. Serena will get a good night's sleep. And by a good night's sleep, we
mean the recommended 7-8 hours as opposed to her usual 2-4 hours.Yeah, no. This might also have to fall under the list called, "Never Gonna Happen."
There's no list from 2015 because we were so god awful at completing tasks that we didn't add new tasks to the list. So, technically, 2015 was our year to shine. We only had to deal with the previous years' lists.
Things we actually accomplished in 2015:
1. Visit and blog about our visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
2. Be recognized at a game for being the world renown Traveling Baseball Babes. One of Serena's former co-workers recognized Lisa at Au Bon Pain from the blog...and also Serena's Facebook page. But it totally counts.
3. Post a Q&A. Something about us that you're curious to know? We'll
give you a period of time where you can email/message/post/etc.
anything you want to know about Lisa, Serena, or both of us and we will
dedicate an entire blog post to your questions. Please no requests for
photos of us naked or in our knickers. Don't be creepy. Boom, mother f*ckers.
Newly added resolutions that we feel strongly can be done in 2016:
1. Run a 5K
2. Return to Philadelphia to make up for the game that was rained out last season.
3. Do a partner yoga inversion trick. Will aim to post this on Instagram/Twatter if we don't manage to accidentally murder each other in the process.
4. Do 1 pullup each
5. Visit a stadium other than Citi Field and Yankee Stadium
6. Have a drink with Old Man Ed
7. Get our photo taken with #51 in Monument Park
8. Eat at the fancy dining establishments at Citi Field and Yankee Stadium - The Acela Club & NYY Steak
9. Go to a Staten Island Yankees game
10. Long Island Ducks game

A Second Stab at the Whole New Years Resolution...Thingy
Okay. It seems as if we're not really good at sticking to resolutions. Like the rest of America (it's been stated that only 45% of Americans actually make New Years resolutions and of those 45%, only 8% actually fulfill their resolution(s) to their satisfaction). As promised, we did, in fact, print out a copy of our resolutions and carry them around with us, but that didn't seem to help us stay on track. We're not sure what happened. The year just...got away from us. Or something. We made "some" progress on the 2013 resolutions and "some" progress on the 2014. Let's relieve the ones we didn't accomplish broken down by year, shall we?
2013 Failures:
1. Cover a World Series game in person even if the Mets or Yankees aren't in the playoffs. Somehow, we'll figure it out.
2. Covering the remaining playoff games from the bar. Literally. As in we'll bring the internet machine to a bar, hack the bar's WiFi (side note: the password is quite often the bar's phone number), and cover the games. In addition to the blog post, we'll also post commentary to Twatter. (@TravelingBBabes). Follow us. Do it. In our defense, we lost our bar, so we need a new one.
3. Get TOWSNBN to take a picture with Lisa. This is hardly considered a shocker. Let's be real. This may never happen.
5. Visit and blog about our visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The fact that we haven't accomplished this yet is borderline pathetic. It's opened during the off season, within driving easy, and just an overall simple task to accomplish. We have no idea why we can't get our sh*t together and just do it.
6. Spy a professional player in plain clothes. We stress professional. You and your beer bully running around a baseball field in dirty sweatpants that you haven't washed in months doesn't count as a baseball player.
7. It may not be fiscally possible for us to attend more Yankees and Mets games, but we will do everything in our power to cover baseball more actively, whether that means talking to bar patrons/baseball fans during games or stalking tailgate parties. Yeah. This is literally the worst baseball blog ever.
8. Establish a weblog. - Honestly, we still don't know what a weblog is. How can we expect ourselves to establish something we don't even understand?
9. Get on the jumbotron together at any stadium.
10. Be recognized at a game for being the world renown Traveling Baseball Babes.
11. TBB World Domination. So far, we haven't even dominated Facebook, so....
2014:
1. Lisa finally watches all of the Star Wars movies. Even the bad ones staring Natalie Portman (the acting equivalent to a cardboard box). Again, this is a relatively task to accomplish, yet we've failed to do so.
2. Get one professional baseball player to follow us (whether it be on the blog, Facebook, Twatter, Instagram, or Google+).
3. Post a Q&A. Something about us that you're curious to know? We'll give you a period of time where you can email/message/post/etc. anything you want to know about Lisa, Serena, or both of us and we will dedicate an entire blog post to your questions. Please no requests for photos of us naked or in our knickers. Don't be creepy. Maybe we'll do this next week so we can start feeling a little better about ourselves being such resolution rejects.
4. Serena will get a good night's sleep. And by a good night's sleep, we mean the recommended 7-8 hours as opposed to her usual 2-4 hours.Yeah, no. This might also have to fall under the list called, "Never Gonna Happen."
Things we actually accomplished in 2013!
1. Attend Star Wars Night.
2. Score 200 followers on Facebook. We're currently at 185. - FINALLY! At press time, we currently stand at 203 followers. What the hell took us so long? Are we not lovable or something?
3. Serena will finally get a job with the Yankees even if that means she's responsible for cleaning all of Derek Jeter's 4 million pairs of shoes that reside in his locker. Well...now Jeter's no longer with us. BUT Serena did get a new job at a fancy gym and an Islanders' girlfriend trains there. That sort of counts. Halfsies.
Three. We only checked off an additional 3 items from the 2013 list. That's deplorable.
2014:
1. Get rid of Kitty aka: the one called "Max." Unfortunately, we've replaced Max with another kitty, but at least we like this kitty.
2. Attend Opening Day together.
3. Win the "Shiva Bowl" in our fantasy leagues. Bonus points for the other TBB making it into the playoffs as well. Boom. Serena took Tigers Love Pepper into the Shiva Bowl after a not-so-good start to the season and beat the panties out of her opponents. Suck it, bitches!
4. Serena will have a penetration partner and Lisa will have a baby daddy. Not the same man (which shouldn't be too difficult seeing as how we're attracted to totally different men). We're gonna go "halfsies" on this one. Lisa may not have a baby daddy and Serena may not have a penetration partner, BUT Lisa does have prospects and Serena has been penetrated this year, soooooo....progress.
Since we haven't accomplished much in two years' worth of resolutions, we're not adding any new ones to the pile. We'll just keep chipping away at the current list of neglected resolutions.

New Year's Resolutions...& This Year, We Mean It
Let's call a spade a spade. Last year, we made a lot of promises to you and to be honest, we forgot about 80% of them. It's by pure coincidence alone that we managed to accomplish any of them at all. This year we plan on printing this blog post off and carrying it around with us like grocery list so that we can cross off tasks as we complete them.
In order for you to truly understand how we've failed you, let's relive the resolutions from last year that we didn't complete:
Follow us. Do it.
3. Get TOWSNBN to take a picture with Lisa.
4. Visit and blog about our visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
5. Attend Star Wars Night.
6. Score 200 followers on Facebook. We're currently at 185. - What is happening here that you can't get your friends to like us???
7. Spy a professional player in plain clothes. We stress professional. You and your beer bully running around a baseball field in dirty sweatpants that you haven't washed in months doesn't count as a baseball player.
8. It may not be fiscally possible for us to attend more Yankees and Mets games, but we will do everything in our power to cover baseball more actively, whether that means talking to bar patrons/baseball fans during games or stalking tailgate parties. - Considering this is a baseball blog, it's pretty shameful that this needs to be on the list in the first place.
9. Establish a weblog. - Honestly, we're not even sure why we came up with this because we don't even know what a weblog is, but this year, we'll strive to find out what a weblog is and how to make one.
10. Serena will finally get a job with the Yankees even if that means she's responsible for cleaning all of Derek Jeter's 4 million pairs of shoes that reside in his locker.
11. Get on the jumbotron together at any stadium.
12. Be recognized at a game for being the world renown Traveling Baseball Babes.
13. TBB World Domination.
Here are the few successful resolutions:
1. "Post more video." If you follow us on Facebook, Twatter, and/or Instagram, you may have noticed that we've been better about this. We've even posted more video clips to the blog itself. In 2014, we vow to continue this trend since you seem to like it so much.
2. "Win a Halloween Costume Contest." Boom. Done.
3. "Dive deeper into the mystery surrounding the Subway Series. Why do Yankees and Mets fans hate each other so much?" We may not have found anything conclusive, but we did conduct the investigation.
4. "We are going to make every effort to be more attractive for you. Again, we stress try. We can't promise you anything since we don't have the money to afford plastic surgery, but we will make every effort to clean up nice. As nice as we possibly can." Hopefully, if you followed us on Instagram or Twatter, you saw our classy photos from New Year's Eve. And if you don't follow us, well....you suck and you're missing out. So go take a ride on our suck sticks.
5. "Strive to cover the All Star Game at Citi Field. If not the game or Home Run Derby, we'll strive to cover the Fan Fest activities." Done and done. Apples are terrible. And so is running.
6. "Bring Auntiedukes to her first Mets game, which we'd been promising since 2011." Check.
7. "Go to Billy's by Yankee Stadium for GuidoFest so that Lisa can finally meet the Guido of her dreams." Yes, we went to Billy's, but for some reason, the Guidos were not really out and the ones that were had girlfriends already.
So, this year, we vow to really focus on all of those tasks we forgot about last year, plus these new ones:
1. Get rid of Kitty aka: the one called "Max."
2. Lisa finally watches all of the Star Wars movies. Even the bad ones staring Natalie Portman (the acting equivalent to a cardboard box).
3. Get one professional baseball player to follow us (whether it be on the blog, Facebook, Twatter, Instagram, or Google+).

At the start of 2015, we will revisit this list. Hopefully, we will at least have accomplished #8 on the "new resolutions" list. That's the only one we really care about anyway.

2013 New Year's Resolutions - TBB Style
Greetings, fellow earthlings. It's been awhile (since we could hold our heads up high. And it's been awhile since we first saw you). Hope you didn't miss us too much. We've got some news for you about our upcoming stadium tour, but before we get into that, let's discuss the poll we'd left you with in our absence. Since we wouldn't be posting anything new until after the new year, we asked you what type of old blog we should share on Facebook to keep you company during our "vacation." No one voted for one of our imaginary dialogues, which is a little bizarre seeing as how this one is beyond epic. What's the next level above epic? Anyone know? 1 lousy person voted for a letter. Are you freakin' kidding us? Our letters are hilarious. We're starting to think that you don't enjoy our stupidity. Add the fact that the majority of votes (a whopping, awe-inspiring 3) chose a stadium tour and we're concerned that you enjoy reading about our travels more than reading about the sh*t that makes us laugh. Pretty strange. Being that this blog is entitled "Traveling Baseball Babes" and all. 2 people voted for one of our shenanigans. To appease this group, here's your token shenanigan blog.
Before we get into tonight's primary topic, we have a few items of business to discuss. Let's start with the 2013 stadium tour. We know that you voted last year to send us to Arizona and Texas, but due to some financial constraints and time off restrictions, we've had to change plans. We hope you can forgive us. Instead of Cactus Country, we'll be heading to St. Louis and Kansas City. It won't be 3 stadiums, but we're still giving you at least 2. Hopefully, this is satisfactory. If not, tough sh*t. Go take a ride on our suck stick.
Last order of business is New York Opening Day. There was some speculation that we might be able to attend both games together because MLB hadn't posted the Yankees/Red Sox start time. Usually when they have a start time listed as "TBD," the game gets bumped as the late game for television purposes. We figured we'd attend the afternoon Mets game and head over to the Bronx for an evening of baseball. Alas, as usual, the Evil Empire (MLB) had alternate plans for us. They recently announced that the Yankees would have an afternoon start time, directly conflicting with our genius plans of pure Opening Day awesomeness. Now...Lisa is stuck going with Fred #2, who doesn't tailgate and doesn't like to stay past the 7th inning (traffic) and there's a good chance that Serena will be flying solo. By the way, in case you're wondering how you can sweet talk your way into attending the game with Serena, the following statement should not be made: "Of course I'm looking forward to this matchup! I love the Red Sox!" No, it does not make it better if you partner it with: "I promise not to wear my Red Sox hat." Just a word of advice, guys! She'll not take kindly to it. And if you're standing next to her when you deliver either of these statements, you'll probably get a d*ck punch.
Turns out, the Yankees and Red Sox were dumped in favor of the new AL West matchup: Rangers vs. Astros. This is both interesting and pathetic.
Finally, onto the TBB's New Year's Resolutions for the blog...and other assorted items. We promise to attempt to do the following for you this year:

In addition to a blog post, we'll actively post commentary to Twatter ( @TravelingBBabes...follow us. Do it).
- Get TOWSNBN to take a picture with Lisa.
- Post more video of us interacting with buffoons like you at baseball games. Actually, we'll just post more video of us in general. We're idiotic enough for you.
- Visit and blog about our travel to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
- Attend Star Wars night! At any stadium. Serena will try to smuggle her lightsaber in her purse. Hell hath no fury like a woman who has had her lightsaber confiscated.
- Win a Halloween costume contest.
- Score 200 followers on Facebook, but we're gonna need your help with this one. Share with your friends and peer pressure/blackmail/bribe your friends into loving us. Spread us like a whore spreads STD's! (www.facebook.com/TravelingBaseballBabes)
- Dive deeper and unlock the mystery of the Subway Series. Why do Yankees and Mets fans hate each other so much?
- Spy a professional baseball player in plain clothes. We stress, "professional." You and your beer belly running around a baseball field in dirty sweatpants you haven't washed in months does not count as a "baseball player."
- We're going to try to be more attractive for you. Again, we stress, "try." We can't promise you anything since we don't have the money to afford plastic surgery, but we will make every effort to clean up nice. As nice as we possibly can.
- It may not be fiscally possible for us to attend more Yankees and Mets games, but we will do everything in our power to cover baseball more actively, whether that means talking to bar patrons/baseball fans during games or stalking tailgate parties. And then posting video of these a-holes for yours and our amusement. Insert evil laugh.
- Attempt securing tickets to the All Star Game at Citi Field. If not the game or Home Run Derby, we'll strive to cover the Fan Fest activities.
- Bring Auntiedukes to the Mets game that we've promising her since 2011.
- Establish a weblog-type shenanigan. This is a working progress that will require outside support aka: Brother's friend, Mike.
- Go to Billy's by Yankees Stadium during Guido Fest so that Lisa can finally meet the guido of her dreams.
- Serena will finally gain employment with the Yankees organization. Even if it means that she's responsible for cleaning all of Derek Jeter's 4 million shoes that's in his locker.
- Get on the jumbotron together. At any stadium.
- Be recognized at a game for being the world-reknown Traveling Baseball Babes. Hoo-rah.
- TBB world domination. 2013
